About Tilt (Nos Hacemos Falta)

Tilt is the word that twinkles on the luminous pinball sign when the player tries to unbalance the machine with a sharp move. It is called in Spanish FALTA (MISS).

Nos Hacemos FALTA tells the story of two brothers who just met each other and try to understand what unites and what separates them. One of them is out of prison with a two-day leave to attend his mother's funeral. In the meanwhile he finds, rejects, and assumes the existence of the other, a 9 year-old kid who follows him in an aimless trip along torrid secondary roads.

    Another great film from Juanjo.
He really knows how to make movies that feel real....
the characters are so well defined that often you might think you know them.
Great photography, locations and choice of costumes.

it's a nice movie a little bit Almodovarian with a strange twisted story, very entertaining.

"A recurring theme joins the characters that swarm around Tilt: they´re orphans, and some of them in more ways than one. And this has impregnated the project itself. "Tilt" is a rootless film, an orphan. From the first draft the script has undergone many changes making it more radical, simpler, stripped of all artifice. Still, it has never lost that point between irony and sly sarcasm, like someone who laughs at his own bad luck."

This text was written during our research of investors for what finally became my first film. Four years after, and while preparing my second feature, I still think that "Tilt" is, at least, worth watching!!!

    Enjoy....
    Juanjo
